Default No, it increases hp by the sticker they give you.
I have a K&N and i didn notice a difference from the stock filter but I probably only gained .5 horsepower if any.

Default Nope. Put the money you'd spend on it towards a cone filter setup...
Tried the panel filter. Didn't notice any difference. Complete waste of money.

I then installed an Lltek cold air induction kit (comes with a K&N cone filter) on my 2.8, and I'm very happy with it. Diefinitely a noticable power increase, and a real nice howl at high rpm's. A really fun mod.

You might hear from 1.8er's that the cone isn't worth doing. But it is on a 2.8. It's much more effective on the 2.8.

I installed it on my 2.8. I've heard that it's not as effective on a 1.8, and not worth it.
