Default K&N Filter, or LLTEK intake?

I have a 1996 2.8L Quattro with a Remus exhaust. Do you guys recommend a K&N drop in filter or should i try an LLTEK intake?

Default don't bother with a hot-air-intake. I'd go for the K&N because....

if for no other reason, you won't be buying a $15-20 paper element every 15k. A one time, $40 purchase.

Until you need a new MAF after over-oiling the K&N ;-)

Default I have had the K&N, and now I have the LLtek.........

I have a 2.8 30v,I don't know about any actual h.p. gains, it looks cool and the change in sound is very noticeable. I like it, but whether or not you want to spend that much money for looks and a cool sound is up to you.

For getting 50k out of a K&N filter I would easily just purchase another one.

*IF* you over-oil it. It's like with anything else... if done correctly
