Default K04 boost levels (for those who have it)

A few of us were having the discussion a while back, but it has scrolled so far off the page I wanted to reopen the discussion.

I flipped around my bypass valve this weekend. (So that the boost now sees the "side" of the valve, not the end opposite the vaccuum line.) Anyway, that seems to have smoothed out the boost at full throttle and made things more consistent.

I still wanted to verify with you all what boost levels you are getting. I can't seem to find the thread where we were posting our results. I recall that very few of you (if any?) were actually getting the 20 psi (sustained) that GIAC claims. I'm not, either. I sustain between 16-18 psi most of the time.

Anyway, if you could post or email me, that would be great.
Thanks.

~22psi w/ giac chip before fmic. ~20psi w/ giac after fmic.

Default Sustained or peak?

Can you sustain that level? I briefly peak out that high on occasion, but I never sustain that level.

As far as the fmic, did you notice a substantial difference before and after adding it? Also, I know GIAC has a high boost 24 psi chip for use with an fmic. The guys at DSR tell me it's amazing.

Default Well heck. What version of the software?

I've got the latest version, and it definitely doesn't hold at 20. Did you go through and replace your hoses and such? Did you find any leaks that you had to seal up? I'm wondering why so few people can hold 20 psi. I wonder if the stock hardware starts leaking a bit at those boost pressures. But I guess the APR Stage 3 guys would have even more of a problem if that was the case, as they run something like 24 psi!

Oh, and do you run 92 octane pump gas?

Peak of close to 21 PSI, probably 18-19 PSI sustained.
