no, but it makes absolutely no sense to spend $700+ on a mod that is going to give you maybe 10 hp
you need the software to run it, a new fpr, and probably an exhaust, to take full advantage of the k04.

k; wastegate is leaking at present, but need to do tranny too
my clutch has seen better days, and second and moreso third syncros complain like mad.
I'm going to have to do something about the turbo and something about putting it to the ground within the next 6-8 months..
maybe i should just fill in the gap with a k03 leftover from someone's move to stageIII?

Chip & exhaust first...
to make sure you're not slowing down the flow. K04 will not nearly full potential without them. Most people K04 as a near-final mod, but if you have a mod list with the K04 first, why not? Besides a chip, that's the most HP (10) you get out of most mods anyway. Just curious, have you found a K04 for $700?

if you planning on keeping the car, replace it with a k04, it will run.....
.....fine with just the k04, but the gains will be minimal. so you could upgrade the turbo, then get the other mods to make it run good piece by piece.
