think it's worth that much still, but I don't think I'd come close to that unless I found a very motivated buyer. I'm guessing $14K is more reasonable. See old sig for details. Thoughts?

Default IMO, KBB is more of a "sellers" price, while Edmunds is a "buyers" price. Somewhere in the middle..

is probably more accurate.

Default Other problem I have is inability to plug in 99.5 as a MY. I know it's "older" than a '00, but much

more desireable IMO than a '99, due to all the updates. The title says '99, but it's much more like a '00 than a true '99. However, only an Audi afficianado would really understand the significance of it being a 99.5.

Using Edmunds as a "buyer" it says $14K for 99 & $17K for 00, so the midpoint is still $15.5K.

Default KBB is garbage.

I use Edmunds more frequently. But these days, the private party price they list is usually the highest you can expect (motivated buyer, clean car, all service records, etc.). I think $14K is a good ballpark listing price, but I suspect you'll negotiate down a little more than $1K when you find the right buyer (not a tire kicker).

BTW, you didn't mention mileage, so I assumed an average mileage of about 60K. I would adjust up or down ~$500 for each 10K.

99.5 had updated interior, full size mirror and 1-piece headlight...may be a few other.

Default There were a LOT of changes, both inside and out, but they were all cosmetic. New options such as

xenons and ESP didn't come along until '00.

Default Close, 57K and change. If I look with an objective eye, I think $14K is just right. However,

I don't really plan to part with the car, I'm only interested in keeping up with its value for pride's sake. I don't get to drive it nearly as much as I'd like now that I've moved and am commuting via bicycle. In a lot of ways, it makes good sense to sell the car now. Between its minimum use and constantly depreciating value, "now" is always the right time to sell. But, I'm still totally in love with the car and there's nothing out there I'd want as a replacement for less than $50K, unless I found a cherry B5S4 for the right price.

Default I'm surprised it's even that. Black book would probably have yours at 10k tops.

Dealer won't pay more than what they can get it at auction.
