I was wondering is it possible to get a flip out key made for a 97, which has the separate remote and key?

Default Yes, find a switchblade remote on Ebay, then go to dealer and buy new blank and have them cut it.
you should find the remote on e-bay for $20 - $30 and it should cost about $60 for key blank & cutting at dealer.

Default Buttons work fine on my 97. Just have to do the reprogramming.
There are some FAQ's on it or a tech section on how to do it. Do a search, it'll be easy.
