Hey Guys,
Recently bought an extra FOB key for my A4, since the delear could only find one key for my car. I already checked the code inside the key, and they both match, so I know it will work. But my question is, is there a way I can get the lock/unlock buttons working on the other remote, without the actual key blade being able to physically lock or unlock the car? I basically have 2 remotes, and only one key is actually for the car, the blade and buttons, and I want the other key to at least have the ability to lock/unlock through the buttons. Thanks.

I have a feeling you use both keys in the tech section article on how to program/reprogram keys. otherwise i was thinking it may be possible to put the original in the door and the new one next to it to program the buttons, but i have a feeling no you have to use both in the ignition.

to do this, it says have one key ON in the ignition and one key in the door, or something and then vice-versa. So if you have one blade and one fake you are f*cked.

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/misc13.shtml</a
