Keyless entry programming help.
Hello all members. Can some one help me find an article, I remember seeing before in the old FAQ, about programming remotes for key-less entry? I have a 1996 A4 Quattro and I misplaced the remote. I was thinking of ordering one from ebay, but I need the instructions to program it without going to the dealer. I remember reading somewhere there was way to program the older remotes without going to the dealer.
I did find a related article in the tech section but I don't think it applies to my older A4 without switch-blade keys.
If someone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

96 A4 Remote reprogram.Roll down drivers window in case of foul up.Put spare key in ignition and turn on but do not start car.Leave in on position.Close drivers door and lock with second key.Push and hold both remote buttons at the same time for at least five seconds until car unlocks. Your done.Remove spare from ignition and enjoy until it stops working again, it will.
If you want a remote fob overhaul guide just email me at jimrobertson@acncanada.net.
