Default I would take it to a mechanic for inspection

You can still do the work yourself, just be upfront with him and pay him for his time.

It would suck to die because you tried to save a few bucks by only doing the bare minimmum without checking the others...I only say that because we've seen two *BROKEN* LCA's at AW possibly due to a seized ball joint.

Default wait? so waiting can cause them to break for good?

mechanic said a while ago that all they would do is get noisier and louder, but wouldn't break...

Default It's a pretty easy DIY job to change control arms

so just change the one that's broken and have a good look at the one that is creaking and see if you can find anything wrong with it

Default search the archives here, they've broken on many ppl here

So far they've been lucky, arm breaks while parking car, but eventually someone's arm will fail on the fwy, and it won't be pretty.

Don't be that guy.
