Last Audio Question :-) Basslink mounting which of these two methods will give best sound?

it's sitting in the middle of the trunk, so you have storage room on both sides of
the basslink. with this setup, you have the basslink shooting right into the cabin, and if you have to remove it, you just unconnect wires and lift up the board. i also went and bought some trunk carpet and the piece of wood is same color as trunk.
