Yes, but it's leaking coolant, luckily outside instead of into the oil... Change it ASAP!

Default Decently easy job to do?

Any special tools needed to remove that item? Should be no harder than an oil change?

Default The only thing is you will need to drain the coolant first.

Have some new coolant and distilled (preferrably, not really required) water handy. then, you will need to bleed the system once you are done, which is not hard, but can be a PITA.

Default If it's for an A4, yes. The key is to start at the highest point, which is the..

hoses that go into the cabin for the heater. One of them has a hole in it, which when you slide the hose back off of the barb a little, it can vent air out. Run the engine till you get a steady flow of coolant out of this hole, then work on the other bleeders, location of which depends on which engine you have.

Default Don't think so...

I do all my own oil changes, and the oil coming out seems ok. I also don't have other typical signs of moisture in the oil, like the white sludge on the oil cap.

Any other way to tell if the leak is going the other way?
