about $350-400 depends on how much you put down.

Default You really shouldn't focus on the monthly payment.... (more)

Focusing on the monthly payment is a bad idea... you need to concentrate on the price you are paying for the car (it's still negotiable on a lease) and the lease/finance terms. You should walk into the dealership knowing what kind of price/residual and money factor you are willing to pay for (and you will already know your montly payment based on these facts). For more information there are numerous good Consumer websites out there that detail leases and help you know the terms..

Certain cars are better lease candidates than others, due to the residual value of the car. Not sure about the A4 though, I'm buying mine... it's a keeper!

Default All that ultimately matters is the monthly check you write

Yes it is a bad idea to focus exclusively on lease payment, rather than purchase price. Its good to know you're paying a good price, but ultimately, to a lessee, monthly payment is all that matters. It doesn't matter if dealer A gives me a better purchase price if dealer B gives me a better money factor that results in a lower payment. I am a CPA and could talk about this **** with dealers till they're totally confused, but I find its easier to just stick with the bottom line.

Default I agree with you but...

an awful lot of people seem to get shafted on leases for this exact reason, they either get lowered mileage caps, or screwed on the residual, or a longer lease term... all to make the montly come out to what they want it to be.

Default Re: lease prices, please help (LONG)

Sorry I disagree, Its a good idea to check AoA web site as a guide. But certain banks like Audi's better then Volks Credit. Nobody talks price on the forum..Dont know why..heres my $.02
I have a 99.5 1.8TQ Tip (aftermarket stuff APR 3.0 and K&N a MUST!!! Dont even think about it just do it!!!!!!!!!)- options Sunroof, winter package, Sport steering wheel (Shift Controls). DO NOT BUY THE CD PLAYER FROM AUDI...$600 to $800
I got mine delivered to my door for $200 it takes 5 min. to install. I should have gotten the sport package (dont know why I didn't).
I have a 39 month lease. 15K (.12 over) no money down, Bank fee, DMV fees, taxes, 1st and last payment, and security about $2,400. My payment is $364...I have a high residual about 64% so I probably wont buy it at lease end. I'll just get a new one. I love leases. Who cares about owning a car!! You own a house! The sticker was $28,500 (I think) as a comparison. I also have a 98 Dodge Durango..(Wife and Kid car) That had a sticker of $32,500 I rolled the taxes in the payment, 39 months, 15K (.15 over) fees at delivery were about $1500 and the payment is $399
DO your homework...dont go into a dealer and say you want to lease. Know what the money factor is and residual and you WILL get a good deal!
Happy Holidays.

Default Could you buy the car after? (more)

If there is a chance you'll purchase the car for the residual at the end of the lease, then you are correct. However, if you're going to turn back the car after the lease, then the monthly payment is all you need to really worry about.
