I just bought my Avant two weeks ago, so I kinda know what you going thru. I really tried to like the IS300, Maxima, and Altima, but truthfully I can't get over the tail lights. Japanese reliability is great to have, but I really question the styling now-a-days.
Audi parts are expensive, but I will probably buy an extended warranty when the orginal warranties run out on my cars. Check out http://www.onesourceautowarranty.com. Brian has an extended warranty thru them on his S4. It looks like it will pay for itself in the long run. Key has honored every claim so far.
What has been wrong with your TT? I didn't know it had given you problems.
