<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/21175/dscf0009.jpg">

Got all the parts for my overhaul this weekend. Got all the tools I need (I think) and am ready to rock

Things on the list:

-Oil change (castrol syntec 5w-50 w/ M1 Oil filter)
-Tranny fluid Change (Redline MT-90/MLT mix)
-Rear Diff Fluid Change (Redline 75w-90... think that's what it is at least)
-Allroad Tranny Mounts
-Fuel Filter
-P/S Rack Replacement
-P/S Hose replacement (from pump to rack)
-OEM Jack Points Installation
-ECT replacement

Once the rubber coating dries, I'm going to install the OEM Jack POints and then the car is getting lifted off all 4's and put on jack stands... should be a fun couple days!

Default picked it up from carsteering.com for $385+$12 round shipping

has a $200 core deposit and a 3 yr warrantee. By far the best price I found bar none. closest one was $420 and he wanted $50 to ship it (with return label)

Yeehaw! Take pictures of your progress if you can. I'd love to see them.

Default If you like doing a rack install, you can test your skills again on my car

I don't know if/when I'll need a rack, but the possibility was mentioned by my mechanic when even a new PS pump still had a little whine to it. He said that there's something in the rack where one of the hoses connects that can block the flow and cause the noise. FYI, word on the street is that Castrol Syntec isn't a true synthetic. I don't know if that matters to you.

Default Its not that hard with a lift

I did a B6 1.8T rack a couple weeks ago. Though the V6 racks are slightly harder.

Just for reference, it took me about 2 hours start to finish on the 1.8T rack, with a lift.
