Here's the question: What is the popping/snapping noise from the passenger front wheel? Hint: it's low, when driving it sounds like right below the passenger footwell area. thanks for playing!

Does it only happen when crawling below 25 mph? And when real slow, it's more like a creeking?

yes Its only when going slow, but doesnt creek at all (yet?) , just kind of a popping noise. I would have guessed control arms but it only has a popping/snapping noise and not the dreaded "CREEEEEK".

tie rod end? try a search, i'm sure it's happened to many an a4 owner.

I also have some road noise at the front end that sounds like a very minor wheel bearing problem, but it doesnt change with sudden left right jerks of the wheel like a bearing should. it sounds like the same wheel , but more toward the center of the car than right out at the corner. thanks lowride and maggio for the help.
