Default If you shave the sides you need to have the posts that hold the clips for

the trim removed and the hole at the front of the door filled and then the whole door should be repainted.

Default remove lower door trim, grind off little tabs that the old door trim mounted on

sand area.

Primer the spots where you were grinding.

From there the 3m stuff is a simple cut/paste

if you want them shaved

you'll need to have all the little holes welded (as i did) or filled via bondo
smooth area
then paint and blend doors

Default Whoa nelly. "filled via bondo" should NEVER be an option.

Simplest to just braze or solder them up -- less heat/warpage risk than welding.

Default OK shaving is too much work/money. I might go the other route just don't know...

if I want to do the S4 sideskirts or just paint the A4 lower door trim. I have seen it that way and it looks OK. with an S4 front.

http://gallery.hartmannwheels.com/v/audi/Evolution_R5/B5_A4_18_R5.jpg.html</a

Default problem isn't really the colour. It's the fact the s4 bumper sits lower...

the side looks jacked up

Default Option 3 is 3M Trimguard... cheaper than both... cut the nubs off, paint the exposed metal with

touch-up paint. Then cut the trimguard to size, bevel the edges, then get them painted and stick them on. See my old pic poster for more...
