limp mode no reverse please help

limp mode no reverse please help
hey guys sorry to start a new thread but I'm short on time
1997 a4 1.8t auto
reverse was coming and going and now all gears are lit up and and dash says -in 2nd- and reverse is still gone limp mode?
I need to know if replacing the multi function switch will do the trick I unplugged the sensor and thoroughly cleaned the harness and had everything reset with vag-com computer and when I attempt to put in reverse the same thing happens. If its the MFS wheres the best place to purchase?
any advice helps!
