The little hose coming of the top of the BPV..whatz it do? I'm not totally sure I completely...

The little hose coming of the top of the BPV..whatz it do? I'm not totally sure I completely...
connected it properly to the bpv...I slipped it over but couldn't quite get the little clamp around it to fully go over the nozzle. Everything seems fine just wondering. TIA
