I got mine with a chip already in it, from the dealer, so that came first. Since, I've been thinking about susp. and wheels/tires.
My thought: the stock suspension is so high, that I'm doing suspension first. I wanted wheels/tires first, but decided that new rims in those HUGE wheelwells would look dumb. If I get the $$ together I'd do both at once, but I would do springs/shocks first :-)

You really need to learn to drive what you have prior!

were not talking about stage3 here, were talking about chipping, right? I find it hard to believe 200hp is going to overwhelm your car that much, and I'll say it again the extra HP will exacerbate the other weak points helping you pin point what you want to do next.
This is the progression I'd go in, Chip, Suspension, Wheels/Tires, Brakes.
I'll throw your question back at you, what use is extra control when you don't have the power to make it necessary?. Imagine owning a Chevy Cavalier with a pair of Porsche 911t ceramic brakes, what's the use?

Just because they recently joined our 'family' doesn't mean this is their first car, or first enthusiast web forum. Many of us came over here from somewhwere else, and have lots of driving experience.

while you're right and many of us have experience and many have taken classes -- far too many people, in general, have high-powered or high-performance cars and have no idea how to drive them. The warning is a good one, even if it might not apply to you.
Oh, if only US driver licensing requirements were like back in Europe ... people would be much better, safer drivers from the start.
