Default Exhaust + Filter and then CHIP CHIP CHIP It gives your car the power it NEEDS

Get your car breathing properly with a quality exhuast and filter. Then throw a chip on! After you chip, you will wonder why the hell didn't you chip sooner! After that, THEN worry about suspension. You don't need serious brakes unless you get a turbo kit. Just get some stainless lines and good pads.

Default If you can catch me :)

You must go to an Audi Club driver's school. You too will learn that you aren't all that. I did the first time! Watkins Glen or Lime Rock (or whatever theyu have in NH) should serve you well as I seem to recall VT as your residence?

It's absolutely incredible how much there is to learn as far as driving skills go!

Cheers,

Peter

Default ;-) One of these years.. Loudon or Lime Rock would be fun..

My car would need some suspension/tires/brakes first, just to make it worth the effort. Non sport allseason tires and oem pads sound like not a lot of fun on a racetrack/class session... Man I miss my Corrado.

Default To start, you'll be fine with just swapping out the brake fluid and pads

I have porterfields, but many are happy with the Hawk HP+ pads for the track.

Suspension and tires will not hurt (nor will they help), but suffice it to say, you'll learn a great deal as is (there was an A6 stock at Summit Point that was doing very well!). After you've been bitten, the $$$$$$ will flow

Motul 600 BTW!

Default Well, I have always felt that a more forgiving suspension is better for most driving, ..

mine feels a little too soft. I hear ya about the $$, it's the reason I sold my Corrado. Way too much money. But, this is a much more apropriate car to pour money into, however, I don't want to turn it into a tempremental fragie car. I NEED to be able to run narrow snow tires, which limits brakes. I NEED to be able to drive through deep snow, which limits suspension. You get the picture.

I have been thinking of upgrading just the dampers, put in Bilstien HDs or something.. Not to lower it, just have better control. Better pads, new fluid etc..

In all honesty, the Continental CH95s grip fine, but I would rather have a 17 for the stiffer carcass, and improved 'feel'.

Maybe I'll look into something for this summer..

Default Suspension, then wheels and tires, and then chip.

An exhaust is nice, but not necessary with just the chip. Brakes are not necessary unless you plan on tracking the car. Stock brakes stop fine, but will begin to fade after repetitive hard braking(like on a track). I had stock sport suspension, and did the chip first. To me, that was the biggest bang for the buck. Exhaust doesn't add that much power, especially if you aren't chipped. You may in fact lose low end torque if you get an exhaust without a chip.
