I have a Wett chip for almost two years now and I am thinking of getting something else. A few things have led me to believe that the Wett chip is just not as peppy as the others...
1. I have ridden in and/ or driven APR chipped cars and they seem to have a little more power.
2. Two people have driven my car, one who has an APR chip and one who is a mechanic/tuner that works with GIAC, and both commented that mine felt a little sluggish compared to what they are used to.
3. I rode in a 1.8T Beetle with a GIAC chip and it was much peppier than mine.
Considering I have front wheel drive, I should feel even more dramatic accelleration than a quattro, and yet mine feels slower.
So anyway, I am hoping if anyone else used to have a Wett chip and switched to something else that they might be able to comment if they felt any significant improvement.
By the way, I have a 98.5 1.8TM.

then I need to decide, GIAC or APR.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
both same price
GIAC advertises higher torque
APR consensus is that it is "smoother"
