Re: Looking for extra horses without chipping....
HD,
It would almost be unnoticably useless to do that. Putting a chip is the most simplest way to get as much horses(+40hp avg.) out from your turbo cahrged engine. And a free-flow airfilter and a cat-back exaust system will seal the deal beautifully. I've seen some who swap their orginal ECU with the aftermarket during schedule maitenance visits to avoid scrutiny. You need to be a little daring to gain those precious horses.

Hate to say it, but Paul is right! You'd probably only get...
...maybe 5 HP max (mostly mid to upper revs) from a Remus muffler and a filter. A full cat-back exhaust such as a Scorpion, Tri-Flo, etc., with the filter would probably get you about 10-12 HP, but the real power comes with a chip. You could do a .8 bar chip and the exhaust and get close to 200 HP, without much concern for over stressing the turbo.
Charles
