Default Looking for some insight on random misfire issues

When I did a VAG scan back on September 26, I found these codes:

Address 01 -------------------------------------------------------
Controller: 8D0 907 557 P
Component: 1.8L R4/5VT MOTR AT D07
Coding: 06051
Shop #: WSC 65655
2 Faults Found:
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16686 - Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
P0302 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 0000 0000

When I ran the scan tonight, I found these codes:

Address 01 -------------------------------------------------------
Controller: 8D0 907 557 P
Component: 1.8L R4/5VT MOTR AT D07
Coding: 06051
Shop #: WSC 65655
2 Faults Found:
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16687 - Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected
P0303 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 0000 0000

Is there a connection here or is my ICM possibly on the way out? I've never been able to tell when it does misfire nor does anything seem out of place. WOT is fast and smooth and my gas mileage is acceptable for my driving style.

Also, I've never (ever) thrown a CEL in my car.

Any pointers for lowly scumbag Nate?

All engines misfire now and then. I wouldn't worry if it still drives fine. How are the plugs?

Default I need to gap them again, but the've got about 12,000 miles on them

Last time I gapped them, they were all +/- .002 of my .029 gapping. Bosch platinum plugs, model is whatever stock is.

Default Damnit... I hope not. Not that these haven't lasted long enough

153,000 miles I assume. Don't have any paperwork showing replacement of them.

Plats? Try some NGK BKR6Es. $2/per, I change them with my oil.

Yes. I had NGKs before. I'll probably just go pick up a set after work and keep 'em handy.

Either way, I wouldn't worry about those intermittent codes.

Default Yeah, I'll wait till it blows up LOL

I figure I'll just scan it every now and then and keep tabs on it.

Intel Mac + Keyspan USB>DB9 + OBDTool FTW!
