Default Loud tire noise after rotation with Bridgestone RE730's

I have a set of Bridgestone RE730's and have been very happy with them They have been rotated once already without a problem. Now, after the latest rotation with about another 4000 miles on them the fronts are as loud as the tires on a raised 4X4!!!

The front tires (that were just recently the backs) do not appear to be worn strangely or anything. In fact, they have a deeper tread depth then the fronts had prior to the rotation.

I also had a CV boot replaced at the same time and I just wanted to make sure that this sound wasn't something related to that. I am pretty sure it's tire noise though. Any iodeas on what to do or will it "settle down" after awhile?

Any help or ideas would be MUCH appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Stu E.

Default Welcome to the hell of 730s........

Mine got really loud after about 9K miles, and most people I know with those tires have the same problem. Tire Rack was even offering prorated refunds for 730 owners....but I skipped it since I didn't want to hassel with shipping the tires back to them.

Default same here.. I lasted 20k and took them off.. couldn't take the noise anymore..

I had 3 alignments, still wore funny on the inside. I switched to so3's and no funny wearing issues..

Default Bridgestone accepting returns for pro-rated amount?

There's nothing I can do I guess. It sounds TERRIBLE at speed!

Do you or anyone else know if Bridgestone is accepting pro-rated returns for new tires? It's so loud I have to turn up the radio to drown it out!

Thanks,

Stu E.

Default Dumb question: the treads are facing the correct way, right?........

Sometimes the brain surgeons in tire shops will swap the tires diagonally, which results in the directional treads facing the wrong way.

Thanks. Yes I checked this first thing. The rotation arrows are all correct.

I am going to at least contact Bridgestone tomorrow and see if they will do anything to help me out. I would be glad to get a partial refund and get something new. I cannot get over how loud these things are now!

Default Only tire rack is offering the refunds, not bridgestone

Just shows you that tire rack really stands behind their products, hats off to them. Someone had tried calling Ronal, where they bought their rims with Bridgestones on them, and Ronal just blew them off, and the guy posted Ronal's blow off here on the forum....it wasn't a good example of customer service.
