Lube question

For those of DIY guys, how often do you do chassis lubrication, what grease and where are the nipples?

I do my own oil changes etc but I haven't done any lubrication, don't even have a grease gun.

Get a Haynes tech manual or something similar and it should have the lube chart and all the POL recommendations.

The only nipples I know of are on the u-joint, and I don't know anyone that greases them.
