The problem is still there. But then, our symptoms weren't exactly the same. My problem was that sometimes while the car is at a standstill I can't put it into 1st. If the car rolls a couple of inches, I can.
Replacing the clutch (while perhaps well warranted) did not resolve any problems that I was actually experiencing.

I experienced this same problem, except rolling did nothing to get it into gear. I would take a look at your linkage and bolt settings. Try adjusting them slightly with the slides and try it while it's apart, see if there is a notchyness or hesitation to getting the gear to lock in. Keep playing with the settings until smooth and I'm sure it'll be fine. Lemme know how it goes. I replaced my clutch with a dual friction centerforce and it did not fix the slop with the 1st gear thing until I re-adjusted the bolts on the linkage. They come loose if not tightened properly.
