So earlier this week I thought my MAF sensor had failed
I had 3 codes \maf,boost,trans. - I've linked the codes to the maf sensor based on other audi \ vw posts
I was having boost issues over weekend when I drove past 2k rpms it wouldn't pick up and I heard air blowing , I looked at maf sensor and remembered prev owner had changed it bosch looked mint, however the wiring was chewed up wires spliced the blk and white cable was not connected properly,
Mech det that the blowing was the turbo line got loose he reclamped it and wamm back to normal
How ever I still have 3 codes, and when I'm on highway car lags past 60mphs the little bugger won't go faster, also I feel the trans shifting weird, again could this be caused by a maf sensor that has its connectors all messed up, my indy mech quoted me an hour labor just to get the wires rewired properly..
Any thoughts?

So you haven't rewired yet? Why not? Get that done ASAP, then see how it behaves. Evena small problem in the wiring can wreak havoc on driveability.
An hour seems excessive, why don't you do it yourself?
