If it is MAF restricted, swapping another MAF that reads higher sounds like the thing to do. If its ECU restricted, we're SOL.
BUT--
If the PC-16 file isn't written to take advantage of higher MAF readings, having a MAF that reads that high won't do you any good.
My problem with the file is its a very poor daily driver. It makes a ton of power at WOT, but everything in between seems mushy. I think when the MAF is maxed out, it assumes WOT and full boost, and makes the right amount of power.

in any scenario, scaled or not.
In that case there is still fueling via RPM as an example.
Take my car for instance, when I see my 187g/s limit, the software pretty much dumps fuel at a given rpm to prevent a lean condition.

the fact that its maxed out at 187g/s which is what the stock programming maxes out at, means that:
-he doesnt have the pc-16 file
or
-the pc-16 does no maf scaling
-he doesnt have the pc-16 file
or
-the pc-16 does no maf scaling
