Default Manufacturer Control - Auxiliary input and output & Cylinder 4 misfire codes

I went out to fire up Alvin (98.5 1.8tq) this morning and had trouble starting him. When it did finally fire, I had a solid CEL. I ran down to my friendly neighborhood Auto Zone to scan the codes and here is what they pulled...

Manufacturer Control
Auxiliary Input
Auxiliary Output

Cylinder 4 misfire

After starting the car, it ran fine with no more misfires. I am familiar with the misfire codes, but not the Manuf. Control Aux ones. Anyone know what would throw these codes?

TIA

Default No, it's called you went to AutoZone (Mistake 1), asked for help (mistake 2), and then

post here without even so much as a generic P-code (mistake threeish) for the manufacture's codes.

Default I went to AutoZone because I assumed it was a misfire code and the closest VAG-COM is 75 miles away.

I assumed someone here had this code pop up before and knew something about it, or would pretend they did . Easy trigger, it's Friday.

Those are probalby not related to the car, but rather, the scan tool..

Default If you don't have access to a place to have your car looked at - the investment in a VAG-COM

would be worth it too you.
