its still a good block but you cant put the ABA crank in it to make it 2l

My plan with it was a rebuild using stronger parts but still 1.8L. More, much more --->

I have been gathering the parts to do a high HP build up some day and put it into a VW Rabbit Pick-up. My plan was to do a full B5 Quattro suspension/engine/trans into a "Caddy" PU.

I did a similar set-up into a '76 BMW 2002 years ago... but I used the complete running gear from a 4000S Quattro. Fun.

Honestly I don't think the build-up is ever going to happen and if it did I think I'd go with a complete running car at this point as the B5's are getting cheap enough to just get a whole car.... I would still need basically a whole car to get all the small parts anyway - plus I don't really need more than a mild build motor (even stock plus a K04 or something) is fine for use in a small VW pick-up. LOL, it would be scary with 200 hp... 240-250 is way more than enough. heh heh.

Maybe some day, but for now I'd love it for someone else to use the motor....
