Default MFI display fading off slowly...
Anyone have any problems with their MFI display fading off? I recently drove my '98 A4 on a 3 hour trip and noticed that 30 minutes into the trip, my center display started to get harder and harder to read. The red alpha numeric display just fadded off over time. It seemed better after the car was off for awhile but what's the deal with that? It just went 90% blank by the time I got home.

Any thoughts?

Default They commonly poop out.
So far, the only posted solution I've seen is replacing the instrument cluster (~$500).

Default nobody has posted a procedure yet...
I'm sure it could be done...the issue is audi doesn't sell the part separately.

Default get it replaced by the dealership (if under warranty)
mine's on order, and a new instrument cluster will be on by Thursday.
