Default in the middle of a TB replacement....broke two fins off of viscous fan clutch...

The two broken fins are 2 fins apart. how vital are the fins to balancing the clutch/fan? ie. should I worry about replacing it?

Danke in advance...hopefully the storms this weekend aren't too bad- have the car under an overhang, but rain+winds might delay the rest of the job! still have to put in new water pump, seals, new radiator, coolant tank, TB tensioner + pulley, snub, etc...

Do it now or struggle with it later.

Default Thanks- already got it at the local VW stealership...

$201 with tax!!!!!!

is there ANY way to take the bolt out of the clutch? I've soaked it in PB Blaster, air gunned it, and sheared off a bolt and a hex key trying to lock the stupid thing in place
grr.

Default got it a while later actually:

TONs of PB blaster, rubber mallet to front of viscous coupling, let sit for a long time while doing other jobs...hit again, let it sit for a while... tried and came off fine.
It was regularly threaded though. My first thought after it wasn't working was that it was reversed, but the bentley didn't say so...and the regular direction did work.
