I think I've re-posted your write-up about 20 times.

Default a comment.....

That's not me. I've been there though. At least the bearings are relatively inexpensive. Over the years, I've gotten less and less patient for this stuff which is why I'm usually so ocd about tools. Hope the next goes better.
Regards

solution - use an old bearing with one side chamfered slightly with a grinder. works like a charm

Default Duh - that's rule number one in life. Funny thing is ------>

My wifey and I will be working on something around the house or at the shop and I will of course start lightly whacking something.... then a little harder..... then maybe a curse or two..... then a harder slam.... then mention needing the tractor etc etc.

She stands behind me - quietly at first - then louder and louder - going ""Oooo-OOoooo-OOooooooo-ooO-oo-o-oo-ooo---oooo-grunt-snort-OOoo-OOhh-oooHH-ooo-oo--oo--oo--oooo **scratching motions under the arms**

First time she did it I almost pissed my pants I was laughing so hard once I realized what was going on. ROFLMAO!!

:-P
