Default Miltek downpipe, any disadvantages ?

From what I understand it will give me an extra 3 or 4 horsepower, and more torque.

Correct ??

(Matched to an exisiting Miltek exhaust)

Like many of these things, the disadvantage is mostly to your wallet.

Default 4 ponies that sound like 5 :-)

Honestly, I don't think there are any disadvantages here. Just a decision as to whether the money is worth the extra few horses and slightly improved throttle response.

If you ever plan to purchase a larger turbo, you should consider the larger DP in order to prevent any sort of backpressure issues.

Default Thanks ..

The turbo upgrade is unlikely, but an S4 V8 is on the wishlist.

Just sick of all those jappa cars beating me.

Default Curves yes, 1/4 mile no.

Went down recently and got whipped by:
93 Charade GTI Turbo. High 14's
93 540. High 14's
96 VTec Integra.
95 Lancer EVO III (200-kw) 13's
94 Galant VR4 Turbo 13's

ahhhh. Not good. But mine does look better..
I could only manage low 15's. I always whipped them on the launch, but they just ran me down at the end. Eagerly awaiting the Miltek+downpipe. Currently just a MTM chip.

Default Ah, I thought you already had the exhaust w/o DP. If you have neither, I would more strongly

recommend getting the DP. I had my DP changed when I had my cat. replaced, and I definitely enjoyed the results. While I don't know that it's worth the money to buy a DP AND pay for an install, I would say it's very worth just the part, since you're paying for the exhaust install anyway.
