Default Minor oil leakage near valve cover gasket

My 99.5 1.8qtms just had an oil change
at 70,000 miles and the valve cover gasket is
leaking a small amount of oil. Not much, but
enough to be worried. It is more like an
oil residue that a leak.

Should I replace it now or wait until my oil
change at 75,000 miles ?

Any input is appreciated.

Default

Residue is considered normal. Oil dripping out is when to get nervous.

Default Re: no its not normal.....I noticed the same thing a while back and the dealer

replaced the camshaft seals along with the valve cover gasket along with some other things to fix it.
If your still under warranty get it fixed...

Default Check your oil level. If high, let some oil out. If in the middle, I'd clean it up and watch it for

a week. If it continues to leak, replace the gasket.
