Mintex Pads Directional or not?

Mintex Pads Directional or not?
I put some Mintex pads on my 99.5. Funny thing though. The Bentley manual says that the inside pads are directional. But both of my Mintex pads have the arrows pointing in the same direction. So I looked at the OEM pads. The OEM pads have a wierd backing plate with a groove on the inside pads. I'm assuming this is why the OEM's are directional? What gives? Why do my Mintex pads have the arrow pointing in the same direction? Does this really matter since the Mintex pads don't have a backing plate on the inside pad like the OEM's.

Did the A8 upgrade a few weeks ago, and.....
I used OEM(fedoro) pads. All i can say is the OEM inside pads are directional...They had arrows pointing.....
I can not tell u anything about mintex.
