Default Misfire problems with 98.5 2.8QMS

Has anyone had misfire problems? My A4 has been in the shop 3 times for the same problem, showing fault codes for misfires. The dealer has replaced fuel injectors, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. I am hoping this was just a one-time fluke.

I had misfires when I ran out of gas once. I actually had to take the car in to get the check engine light reset!

The 2.8 does, the 1.8T does not.
