60K miles on the clock...don't know if plugs have ever been changed. Getting a SMALL hint of misfiring when the boost kicks in now that I am chipped. OK...time to change the plugs. Gonna try out those Denso Iridium's. Bought the .040 gap. Put them in, seem ok yesterday. Today...MUCH worse misfiring when boost kicks in. Yank the plugs, a little black from the misfires. Try to go get NGK's, but have to order them. Bought some cheapo splitfires to see if they work..EVEN WORSE. Wirebrush the Denso's...toss them in. They are tolerable for a few days.
I assume the problem is my stupidity in buying .040 and not the .032 b/c I am chipped right?
Ordering NGK's tomorrow at .032...should I go to like .028?

and i thought it was just a HINT of misfire before I changed the plugs. But it could have been my imagination. It also could have been I just opened up the gap on the stock plugs a tad and couldn't tell until I got chipped. You could barely notice it. Plus I figured I would change them just for maintenance sake. I wish I saved the old plugs!!
Plus I have a 2000...isn't coil pack issue 2001+ I know that could be a possibility...but the "famous coil pack" problem shouldn't affect my MY?

the boost kicks in would it? Idles fine, drive fine unless I punch it and ask for boost. It even levels off after the first few secondsif i do punch it.
