<br>Thursday I got my 99.5 1.8tqms but had to go on a business trip and<br>rented a Nissan Maxima. It makes me miss the A4 even more.<br>Yes, the Nissan has a decent engine, but the automatic is slow to downshift<br>and the handling of the car is downright appalling. Body lean is not as bad as<br>your typical GM car but still terrible. It's a very good car if your only concern<br>is decent transportation.<p>Last night I got stopped by the cops (speeding at night, I forgot the golden rule)<br>and it turned out the tail lights didn't work at all! <p>So today I return the Nissan and they give me a Chevy Malibu. What a rough<br>sounding V6. The interior is really crappy, plastic all over the place. The car<br>has zero personality like 95% of the cars produced in the US.<p>I know it might not be fair to compare rentals with a brandnew Audi but the<br>difference is night and day even if they were new.<p>There is much more to an Audi than you would think. It's not only the<br>great handling, the looks, build quality or technical design, it's the feeling<br>you get when driving it. It's FUN.<p>Steve

Next time, rent a BMW. You might not want to go back to your Audi... (putting my fire suit on :-))
