i am having alot of trouble deciding wether to supercharge this car ( 5 grand without labor) or possibly dropping a 2.7l turbo into it and redoing everything needed to make it tick. Another option is to wait until december and sell this car and possibly just get an s4(b5) and avoid all of this, but the the car i have has been reliable and has not had any problems in my 3 years of ownership. i have belstein shocks and kohne adjustables ( suspension job costed 2 grand) and i also have a carbon fiber hood plus the car only has 86thousand miles, so if anyone out there has some suggestions or tips id really apreciate it, thanks!!!!!!!

FYI, the super charger PES G2 kit has been reduced in price to $3500 and if your at all mechanically enclined you can do the install yourself in about 10 hours. Used kits are going for about $2k, I just picked one up for $1700 shipped with some extras and the tipchip included; installing right now.

You know that's what everyone says.....sell it. Yes it will probably be the easiest way to get a fast car but I will tell you, if you are gonna get an S4 you better do your homework because if you can't work on it yourself and you need something done (take some turbo work for example) you will be paying thousands.
You pretty much need a whole toolbox of euro tools and an engine picker and stand at a minimum. You can't even pull a head w/o taking the engine out (all though some will say you can) because of the turbo pluming.
Now i'm not saying keep the A4 but know what you're getting into before getting an S, especially if it's already modded.
I have an A4 and S4 and I have done everything myself on the A4 including the supercharger install and yes, it's not that difficult if you have some basic mechanic skills.
My S4 will make clockwork of my A4 any day but the A is still fun to drive and much more reliable.
Again, just do your homework man. Read up on the common problems with S4's (B5 I assume). Check all the forums because there is a shtt ton of info out there.
Good luck!
EDIT: Also check out scaudi.com for info on supercharging.

im not to mechanicly inclined i do have a brother who is we did the sway bars on his a4 front and back and he did all of the engine modifications himself (a4 2001 1.8t) and could completly take apart engine so im thinking with him i could personally install supercharger kit, however i know for most the maintence on an s4 you have to pull the engine and thats not cheep. also is there anything you can do after the supercharging kit?

thats my mistake i was under the impression that to maintain the s4 you would have to pull engine to do most of the work. However sence its only for the replcament what is the normal mileage that you replace the turbos. The s4 i would buy will have NO performance work on the engine
