Default More 1/4 mile times from yesterday... and my weekend project!!! (lots of pics)

Ran some more 14.4s and 14.5s in my K03 Quattro A4 yesterday. It was very warm (60-70 degrees) yesterday, and the humidity was high. My MPHs were low, (93-95) but I've been doing much better with my 60"s (consistant 1.9s now) Hopefully I can get my times down and my MPHs up when it cools down more.
Now that the Audi content is out of the way... the new drag car we're building... It doesn't have an engine right now.. but soon!! Yeah, I know it's teal (monza blue, as those in denial like to call it) Here's the beauty...

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/13019/golfgt.jpg">
the lovely exterior...

The inside before getting started:

This car has a lot of water damage, which is why we decided to gut it...

And after an hour and a half of work: most of the carpet out, the headliner out, seats, dash, door panels, etc.

Default because we don't have a GTI sitting in the driveway.

A GTI is more to insure, and this one will be better than a GTI, so what's the point... plus, what's the point of wasting a GTI to build a race car?

Default That is cool...

I wish I had the money to buy an old car just for races. I'd strip it completely down. Good luck!

Default nah.. VR6 with a 150 shot of nitrous.

nothing crazy with the motor, cause the car is going to be light. A friend of ours runs a 12.8 with an all motor VR6, due mostly to the weight reduction
