Default More in Interior Choices for Silver; pictures in 2000 brochure...

Ok, so we've discussed this subject a lot, but ....

I'm ordering a '00 silver 1.8T QMS through carorder. Since there are few '00 cars out there, it's hard to look at the new-for-2000 interiors. Can anyone who has seen the new Ambiente ecru/brownstone interior comment on how it might look with silver? I had ordered an ecru/onyx '99, but we're into a 2000 now, and I am up in the air about this vs the new ecru/brownstone.

(I know that all onyx would look cooler, but an all black car in the Northwest ... we get enough monochromatic things here, like the sky for about 6 months at a time.....)

There appear to be two pictures of the ecru/brownstone interior in the 2000 interior. One of them is the 2-page spread showing the dash. The other is on the page with the three different color schemes. Can anyone comment?

(and is the carpet on the ecru/brownstone really ecru?)

What about opal grey? I have it in leather in my 99.5 and it looks great!

Default Price

You should check with the dealer before you order. My dealer in Annapolis MD said he could order mine for $1500 over invoice. That was better than Carorder could do.

I think that opal looks better with the wood in the 2.8 - it seems to add some light. If it were more grey rather than being slightly tan, it'd be a good choice.

I just like the contrast of the ecru/onyx, I guess.

Default re FRED's input...

i don't think opal grey is brown is it? i ordered a silver 1.8T with leatherette. originally i chose the ecru/brownstone interior but brown/light tan kind of clash with the silver. i thought about ecru/onyx but the difference in shades seems almost garish to me. i like contrast but not to that extreme. i chose opal gray- assuming it is a true gray. even though it seems drab (silver and gray) these two colors complement one another better than either of the other two combos. i wish someone could post a pic of the opal gray leatherette interior.
