1. You DBW guys have it teh suck.

2. Under high boost, the car pulls the throttle back as low as 20%.

3. I know not why it was boosting that high. I pulled the PCM, as I was going to talk to thechip manufacturer, and guess what? No chip. I suppose it could be flashed ( I dunno much 'bout DBW )

4. The wastegate looked fiddled with. I backed the adjustment off about one turn and then drove the car.

At this point I had no boost, as in zero. As I drove it started making more and more boost, up to 7 psi, but it seemed to come on very late and not very hard.

How can I tell if it has been flashed, and why would it restart with no boost and then start to make boost?

And how, exactly, should a wastegate be adjusted on a K03?

if the wastegate was fiddled with, this could happen at low rpms, or anywhere on the boost curve. what turbo is it? a ko3? i have a good resolution pic of the wastegate settings, you could count the threads and set yours to that.<ul><li><a href="http://www.modifieda4.com/gallery/k03-turbo/DSC00481?full=1">link for high res, k03 wastegate rod pic.</a></li></ul>

and a pic would be great. Is it odd that after pulling the PCM I went from 20 psi to 0 and then as I drove it worked back up?

my wett ko3 chip tended to take a day to start making any real boost, the giac chip seems to make more sooner.
