anyone have any tricks for removing the circlip and washer from the base of the spline? Tried the method in the tech article and I am getting no love from my wipers.

I just usually use a pick from the snap-on set in the pic. There should be some paces towards the cylinder you can use as a pry, and it slides right off. If its too tight, then you might need a set of circlip pliers(a very small set of needle nose might work). The idea here is to spread the clip and push it back a bit, enough so you can grab and pull it off.
You might consider lubing up those ball sockets with MOS2 grease. Torque specs are also and issue:
-Retaining nuts(wiper arm) M8: 16Nm(12 ft lb)
-Mounting bolts(for armature) :8Nm(71in. lb)

and promptly lost it when I pried it off with the screwdriver. I used my dremel to gently clean the cylinder and I was planning on using some never seeze I use for my wheel bolts. Hopefully I can get away without the cir clip

Well, I try my best to assist when feasible. No,you'll need the circlip. Antiseize won't cut it for that application. Mobil 1 makes a MOS2 compound for boating that works exceeding well. I know this sounds compulsive but, the details matter here if reliability and longevity are the goals. That armature system is not terribly robust.

Circlip replacement options:
1. Dealer
2. Decent hardware/ or Box hardware(ie Lowes/Home Depot)
Comment: I didn't mention mail order due to the fact its such a small item.
Grease options:
-dealer
-mail order
-marine (for the M1 marine grade)
Comment: The marine grade stuff is hard to find at a local auto place unless you live near the water.
