My g/f's friend's b/f lives in West Orange, which is just west of, get this, East Orange and Newark. One night we planned to all hang out at his house because his parents were away and we were just going to drink a little for a get-together. I told my g/f "we're taking your car, because I'm not having my car stolen". So she says "but this is a nice neighborhood and it will be in his driveway". My word stuck. West Orange is a funny place, because you've got some of the richest neighborhoods in NJ, but it's so close to hell. Later that evening, we were sitting around bullsh!tting about cars (he works for Paul Miller Audi, where I got mine) and I brought up the subject of car thefts. He told me that his dad's Buick was once stolen right out of the driveway. I looked at my g/f and said "see, I told you it's bad around here". Can you believe that? Out of the driveway of his home in a nice neighborhood which is on the far west side of town. Makes me want to move closer.
