Default Motion sensor alarm and locking your car with your windows/sunroof open

So who here hasn't tried to lock their car with the windows down without pushing that little switch on the base of the B pillar and when the wind blows(?) the alarm starts to go off?

I am wondering if anybody has/knows how to make it so the motion sensor automatically shuts off (ie, the button gets pushed) if the windows and/or sunroof are open at all, so when you go to lock it the alarm will not go off.

Basically i want the motion sensor to come on only if the windows are up and the sunroof is closed.

Any thoughts?

Default well considering the stock windows don't have a mechanism(to my knowledge) that senses when the

windows are all the way up, i don't see how you could do it without some modifications to the power windows.

Default just turn down the sensitivity of the pressure sensors with VAGcom.

I turned mine down and my alarm doesn't go off if the windows are open a bit.

I think the plan was to allow for the system to work if you leave the windows open.

I have not had the alarm go off just from the wind.

Do you suppose some bird or leaf flew in?

Also I think the motion sensor sensitivity can be adjusted.

For wat it's wotrh

Default Yup, you can adjust the motion sensor sensitivity with the VAG... based on a percentage...

... currently it is set at 100% from the factory, but you could try 50% or something and see what happens.

I never leave my car with the windows down because you get dust other stuff falling in your car.
