Default Motul RBF600 or Motul Dot 5.1 brake fluid?

Time for some new brake stuff. I will be tracking the car a couple of times this summer and probably plenty of spirited driving : ). Which fluid would be best? I am leaning towards Motul RBF600.

Thanks

Default track: Motul RBF600 | street: Motul Dot 5.1

keep in mind that the 600 will need to be flushed at least once per year. It also tends to pickup moisture faster than others, but that's usually not an issue if you bleed all of the time for track events.

Default I prefer pentosin racing for 14.95 a litre. IIRC BIRA.org has a write-up recommending Ford HD truck

at 2/quart or similar.

Don't get me wrong Motul is good stuff, just a bit more $$$ and I believe Pentosin racing has better numbers.

I just ordered 2 litres for this summer

Default I'd go for the RBF600

I just bled mine out after a little under a year of use in the car. As long as you're willing to do that in exchange for a better BP, go for it.

Default Absolutely no need for the 5.1.

The 5.1 is better than a DOT3 , however is NOT better than the the 4. The RBF600 has higher boiling points. A tec at a motorcycle shop told me the 5.1 is good to use on machinery that tend to sit a lot...Snowmobiles/Non sport bikes/Dirt bikes....etc. It does an excellent job of keeping moisture out.

Default Ford HD brake fluid has a very low wet boiling point, which is fine if you flush before every event.

here a nice breakdown of brake fluids of wet/dry boiling points:

http://www.evilplastic.com/bfluid.htm</a

I wouldnt mind a flush or two per year. I am mainly though for dd and just a couple of track events.

Default Pentosin 572/392 close to RBF and a bit less expensive too

I flush after each track session and 1x per year regardless.

Now if I only could get around to installing my speed bleeders
