In the process of dealing with spark plug fouling on my A4 Avant 2.8 Quattro I've noticed that I have rodent damage to a number of leads in the engine compartment.
Some rubber boots have been nibbled such that you can now see the wires underneath.
Has anyone else had this problem? I now need to repair the nibbled wires and boots but am wondering the best way to replace the munched rubber. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. For now they are taped up awaiting a more long term fix.
Regards,
Jeremy
ps. The AudiWorld forums have saved me from having to send my A4 into the local dealer (and the hefty charge associated).
My starting problem was diagnosed and fixed with a combination of posts to the forums (re: 2.8 Fouling Problem) and the excellent How-To on 2.8 spark plug changing. Thanks guys!

$1600 for harness and install thats when I called my insurance and made a claim, it happens more than you would think. I heard bounce fabric sheets keep the away but do you want those floating around in your engine compartment?

Rat poison causes their insides to dry up and then they die, so they look for ANYTHING with water in it, in particular rubber pieces that absorb water.
