I purchased my Diamond Rio MP3 player at Office Depot for $159. Then I went to the diamond website and printed out a $50 mail in rebate for it. Had it for a few months now, works great.

I considered that, will I be able to use it along side the BOSE deck?
EMPEG = about $1k
BOSE system = $1500
Maybe I should get the EMPEG instead of the BOSE system?
Problem is, is the EMPEG actually *shipping* yet? From the looks of the web site recently, it hasn't begun yet?

I don't believe that it is shipping yet, nor
do I believe that it will work _with_ your
bose head unit. However, it does have standard
line outs and preamp connections.
Not sure if that helps.
But, I still think it's way cool, worth waiting
a few months for. Plus, you can write your own
software for it, not just play mp3s.
Neat-o!
