Regardless, does it matter that more people than just the real skateboarding population saw this stuff? Whenever I see them on MTV, I think, cool, Bam and his friends are getting what they obviously want, attention. I just don't get how your gonna call it a "skater rant". If you're a real skateboarder, you should be happy, as more and more people are getting used to it(skateboarding culture etc..), and that means less time being chased by security guards!

but he is a skateboarder. He was sort of an icon in the skateboarding community. Almost nobody understands that 50% of the footage on that show is recycled from big brother/ cky videos. I watch jackass too, its funny. But its just frustrating that people have no idea where it came from. I've heard several people refer to cky/cky2k as the jackass movie. I don't have a problem with those guys as much as i do with mtv trying to cash in on everything that seems remotely popular. I don't think more and more people are getting used to it, i think more and more people are thinking all skaters are *******s who kayak in fountains. The show is also spawning a bunch of idiots who try to do repeat the pranks from the show, which is stupid for several reasons i wont even bother to go in to. Is the show funny? Yes
does it have any buisness being on MTV? i personally don't think so. Thats just my two cents.

About all skateboarders being fountain kayaking lunatics. And I do hate how most of it is recycled CKY/Big brother footage. I do like the fact that my brothers wife knows who Bam is now, but otherwise you are right, the show probably doesn't belong on MTV. Plus, I will see anything that comes out along these lines, so it's not like I'm missing out. I just hope they all really did get paid serious $, so at least some of it was worth it.
